Frequently Asked Questions
It's my first class & I’m nervous. Any advice?
It’s totally normal to be nervous - and excited! You are not alone, but you are going to be OK! All classes are beginner friendly unless stated otherwise and all classes are taught with patience and kindness. No one is left behind. We are here to help meet your needs, feel free to come a few minutes early to chat 1 on 1 with your instructor if you have any specific concerns.
What should I wear to my aerial yoga class?
We suggest long, non baggy pants and sleeves to protect your skin and armpits. Loose fitting clothing may fall shift during inversions, but ultimately whatever make you feel comfortable is the best option.
NO jewelry or rings of ANY type, please! Jewelry WILL rip the fabric and could possibly injure you if it gets caught in the silks. Similarly, be mindful of zippers on clothing. Permenant Jewlery can be taped over during class.
Is there a weight limit for aerial yoga?
There is no weight limit for our classes. Our aerial rigging is professionally installed and regularly inspected to make sure it can support the dynamic sorts of movements we will do in class. Our instructors are certified in safe rigging practices and we aim to keep a welcoming and open space for all body types.
What is your cancelation policy?
You must cancel your class 4 hours or more prior to class start time in order to unreserve your spot. Late canceling less than 4 hours prior to class start time will result in a $10 charge to your card on file. No Showing a class will result in a $15. All late cancel fees will automatically be charged to a credit card on file at the time of cancellation. Late cancel fees are all donated to our Alive Scholarship program, which helps makes aerial yoga and wellness accessible to more folks.
These fees help us ensure everyone mindfully registers and cancels reservations to make the most of our limited capacity, but aren’t meant to be punitive toward being a human and having things happen. These fees also aren’t for profit and go right back to paying for our scholarship program each month. We do our best to work with you on our fees if you feel your situation deserves an expection. Talk to us - we are your friends! You can email us info@alivemvmt.com.
